I was dreaming when I wrote this.

{I was dreaming when I wrote this excuse me if it goes astray}

It's been forever since I've done  a blog. I keep trying to think of GREAT things to write about....and get lost.
Also, my lap top broke.....P pulled on the charging chord one to many times and I guess the inside wont accept a charge now:( I about died when I found out I have to charge it to get my pics and info off of it!!!
If you know me at all you know that I hate learning new technology. Its kinda embarrassing really...but...Ive never really been into any of it!

I got a new i phone for mothers day (thanks P and M).
I'm learning how to work it and I'm starting to see the easy love everyone has for apple.
My friend Niki who went to graphic design school and learned everything about i mac's (apples) gets some (a lot) of phone calls lately with the most retarded questions....like...how do I copy and paste? How do I add to my favorites? I don't see a favorites...I'm going to freak!!!!
LOL
So anyway.....i promise to learn these apples soon....upload pics, and blog more!!!!

P is ever so changing!!
Everyday!
She makes us laugh non stop with the funny things that come out of her mouth!
I want to record them....because I don't think people will believe it till there hear it for them selves.
I'm starting to write down some of the things she says in my journal because M and I laugh so hard we don't want to forget it.

I swear this time of year has me wanting to change things.
My word robe, my house decor, my car, my house, my yard, my everything!!!
I think it's my most favorite time of year.

I often wonder why I'm so anti moving out of Wyo when I hate (strong word I know) the weather. M told me with all this moisture and the river being so high the rattle snakes out at the cabins will be unreal this year.
You know what that means right?
P and I will NOT be going to the cabins all summer long.
What a shame....stupid rattle snakes!

okay...I knew this blog would be random...and I knew it would be all over the place....and it was perfect when I turned on the radio, sang and dance to Prince this morning!!!

Mother in laws

{mother in laws}

I was asked the other day if I got along well with my mother in law.
I get this question a lot!
I think it's because I work on a lot of different women who maybe don't get along with theirs.

Luckily for me I LOVE mine.
She is strong.
Beautiful.
Full of love.
Kind.
A mom to the fullest degree.
A friend.
Loyal.
Smart.
Always helping others.
Most selfless person I know.

Even when Marks not with me I load up P and drive down to Wheatland. The hour and 20 minute drive use to seem like forever.....now it goes so fast.
P knows when I take the Old Wheatland Hwy were "almost there mom....feed my cows".
I like how their her cows.

Most times she doesn't even come inside with me. She jumps in papa's arms and off they go....to feed the cows. (or just piddle around).

That's when I sit in the kitchen with Ed and chat.
I love my Edna time.
We miss each other if we go to many days without chatting and I probably drive her nuts with all my texts. Mostly questions....

Last night I drove down to pick up our dog...
Oh ya did I mention that Capone loves his Nana and papa too?
Ed made me an early birthday dinner.
Home made taco's.
Carrot cake.
Banana bread to bring home.
Spoiled!
She spoils me.
She spoils us.
Mostly with her love and attention....and that's my favorite kind of spoiling.
So...
Do I get along with my mother in law?
I would say..
YES...I love my mother in law....she's the perfect second mother, friend, and role model.
I hope she knows how much I love and appreciates her.

Love you Edna.
Thank you for making my birthday extra special...I feel so spoiled.

celebrating friends

{celebrating friends}

A weekend of celebrating friends.
Mr and Mrs. St John.

We learned a lot about traveling with a toddler this trip.
She did better than I did...if I'm being totally honest.
The i pad came in handy several times...and once again I'm having to admit the i pad wasn't so silly after all.
Mark and I got use of it to when P was sleeping and we were stuck in hotel room.
Angry birds = addicting.

I wish I wouldn't have forgotten my camera so I could share pic's with you all!!!

Ambs was the most beautiful bride.
She had the prettiest dress which the pictures don't do it justice....so I'm so happy I got to see it in person.
She chose hair down, loose curls.
It was so her.
Natural and beautiful.

She went all out when shopping for her flower girls (Peyton was one of them).
Tutu's, wands, gloves, pearls....

Pink was the color.
Love was the theme.

Her and Andy can almost make you sick with how cute they are.
The way he looks at her.
They way you can tell he thinks the world of her.
It doesn't really make me sick....it makes me smile.

The father daughter dance was perfection.
So her...so her dad!

I loved dancing and celebrating with a group of old friends from high school. I felt 17 again...and danced as if it were our last prom and Kelly Walsh High School.
I knew I wasn't 17 though...I felt it in my feet. I can't rock the heels like I once could.
I felt it in the urge to sneakily ditch everyone the second we got to hotel (11pm) and go stare at my baby girl sleeping sound, and snuggling up with Mark who didn't even wake to my stumbling around.
I felt it in the morning when P woke up at 5:45 am.
I sent a text to my girlfriend telling her...
"this being up at 5:45am is the reason Mama's don't stay up late".
I'm glad I did though.
I had so much fun celebrating.

Congrats to Amber and Andy.
Mr and Mrs. St John.

Thirty two.

{thirty two}

My Marky Mark.
4.13.79
32

I'm surprised I remember your birthday...since I couldn't even get our wedding anniversary right!
I know, I know...I'm the boy in this relationship.
(in that aspect)

I won't write anything mooshy on here...since this blog is for P's eyes...

I will write this.

Were so proud of you.
P and I.
You work so hard for your girls and we can't thank you enough.
You amaze me as a father.
The way you look at her....the way she makes you smile....the way you make her smile...

She calls YOU her best friend...but when your gone it's me...and that's okay with me.

I love how she get's mad when I hug you too long...and hold your hand. What am I thinking?? You are all P's!!!!!

You knew I always wanted for P what I never had....and lucky for her ,you guys have that. Lucky for you both!!!
I love that you dance with her.
Sing to her.
Pray with her.
Fix her hair...(try to fix her hair;)).
Pick her clothes out...and let me laugh without being offended when they outfit doesn't go...at all.
Play with her outside...till she's ready to come see me.
I love that you love her with all your heart.
I love that you share in the excitement I have when she says something cute.
I love the way we look at each other and smile...
both so proud of what we have created.

Were both so lucky to have you.
For so many different reasons.

I hope we can show you that today...and everyday.
Love you birthday boy.
32.

It's raining, it's pouring...

{it's raining, it's pouring}

I sang this song today with P over and over.
I went to the bank and from the drive through you can see down at a park. Peyton spotted it and wanted to go down the slides. So of coarse, right when we leave the drive through, the rain starts.
I talked her out of the park for the moment but since I blamed it on the rain she insisted on going home and changing into her rain boots.

Daddy braved the rain while I worked this afternoon and P got to go down the slides. I think he took her puddle jumping too....her clothes looked like it!

We spent the last few days visiting P's Great Nana.
She is the sweetest Nana, and P stole her heart when she jumped up on her lap and snuggled her up.
(she doesn't do this often)

When we get home from our trip to Arizona we are going to give all of our passy's to the baby calves.
It was daddy's idea...and when Papa mentioned it to P she said "you can't trick me papa".  No tricking involved P....we will walk out to the calves and you can hand them over. I know...I know...it won't be that simple...but she is two now...and the passy has to go.
I promise to let you keep Raffie and Ellie as long as you want P!!!

I look at this pic I snapped with my blackberry (which takes horrible photos with no flash) and I just love it.
This is how you look in the mornings and I think your beautiful.
You wake me every morning yelling "mama" or just talking to yourself. I pick you up, change your diaper, we pick up raffie and ellie, and head straight to the rocking chair. You always ask for Olivia to be on....but it's always Franklin. I think you need to wake up earlier to watch Olivia...but I am NOT complaining about the extra sleep!
I have been drinking a pot of coffee every morning (even with the extra shut eye).
I found this weird, interesting, yet yummy coffee and had to try...
I usually don't like trying new things...unless it's unusual...and then I have to try.
I like this odd mix.

I also LOVE the slippers my sister gave me. They were my Christmas present that she kept hidden in her basement till just the other day.
She forgot to give them to me.
I forgot to thank her.
So, I snapped a shot proving to her I likey....
They make me feel so girly...walking around in my pj's and cute slippers....

Fossil.
 Part of my new routine.
Wear my pretty slippers...I like the way they make me feel.

Happy Birthday

{happy birthday}

I am remember this day two years ago.
At this time I had gone to the hospital twice and sent home each time. Laying in the same exact spot (only this time a little more comfortable). I remember looking at the wall and wondering why the minutes in between each contraction seemed to go by so fast. I remember taking 5 baths to relax me. I remember Daddy coming to check on my in the bath...I asked him if we could go back to the hospital (surely they could give me something to make this hurt less, no?) he told me not yet....they said 4 minutes apart. I took handfuls of water and just kept throwing them at him. I showed him!
I went back at 8:30am.
FINALLY dilated enough.
The doctor was there and so was the anaesthesiologist.
LUCKY me!
And then I was comfortable again.
Just waiting for you.

The doctor went to church. It was palm Sunday.
I tried to nap...but natuarally too anxious.
You arrived at 4:40 pm.
I think I only pushed a handful of times...maybe eight.
You were good to mama..

You had black hair just like I did when I was born.
You had dark skin...(juandice)
Full red lips.
Swollen eyes.
Huge feet.
And that moment, I turned into a Mama.

I have loved everything about being a Mama to you.
You make it easy (even when its hard).

I remember April 5, 2009 like it was yesterday.
I always will remember it.
The day you were born.
The day I met you.
My sweet Peyton.

You are my blessing and I love you always and forever.
Happy 2nd Birthday, P.
On this day, more than every other day, we celebrate you.
Our gift.
Our life.
Our sweet.....
Peyton Reece Hamrick.

Sweet P

{sweet pea}

On the last day of you being one I thought I would write a quick blog about you again.
When you were one we drove down to Parker Colorado to get some family pictures done.
We have some of the best pictures of you...and were thinking it's about that time....for some new ones.

We went to the zoo.
Your first zoo trip and I think you liked the ice cream cone the best.
You would have liked the animals more if I let you out of your stroller to go pet them.
You will thank me some day for strapping you in little girl.

To this day you still love your sun glasses.
You tell me "it's too bright where my glasses".
You have a drawer full.
You have loved all your accesories from the begining.

This picture is you.
So innocent.
Sweet.
Beautiful.

I love your blonde hair and green eyes.
I love your lips.
I love your button nose.
I love you fingers and toes.
I love the way you need me whenever your sad.
I love how you make me laugh.
I love you.
